The Finnish Music Campus is a community for the development of music, dance and applied arts. The multidisciplinary operations of the Music Campus combine current, living pedagogy with top research in the field of applied arts. The cooperation enables research and practical pedagogy to engage in strong dialogue with each other.
The Department of Music, Art and Culture Studies, part of the Music Campus, is focused on examining the current developments in culture, arts and music. The research has a particular emphasis on human well-being, identity, cognition, experiences, feelings, affects, environments, cultural operations and the processes of forming meanings, approached from the viewpoint of multidisciplinary music and arts research as well as critical cultural research theories and concepts.
